When thinking about the history of Epiphone, one must start in Greece where Anastasios Stathopoulos made lioutos (a Greek stringed instrument), mandolins, violins and lutes. The family moved to New York and his son, Epi Stathopoulos inherited the company in 1915.

The name of now adopted by the House of Stathopoulos to Epiphone, a combination of his name and the Greek word for sound. The change became official in 1928. It is during this time that the company was active in making banjos, and has even bought Banjo Company in Long Island after the change has been approved, the company became the Epiphone Banjo Co.

Epiphone began in 1931. It was a complete line of what is known as archtop guitars, a style that is popular with jazz and blues. It quickly became a top Gibson has produced one of its biggest rivals. Of action was really good. Finish was good. Definitely waiting for the rest of pack. Gold hardware is great. Custom Logo shone the spotlight. I was having and I had fun with it for a few years.

This guitar is solid. It never goes out of tune. A bit boring Hardware year. Strap buttons are solid. Be careful with the neck dive on stage. Heavy higher.
