The SPC or Start Presence Control is often called the control of fat. For many players is the most popular discount for carrying out. The original intent of the SPC was to turn the tone of a single coil, contained in a pick-up double coil. This result is obtained by increasing the gain of a broadband mode in the middle - and the reduction of the maximum. The result is a fat, stronger than any what pickups to single coil, but can also be used in a humbucker to give a great output, very fat tone.

The installation is not particularly difficult. However, for one low price, any competent guitar maker can perform any logging and wiring for a fair price. Good idea for most people. While I do my own work today, one with knowledge and good technical skills to do the welding, no heat to other components or unnecessary to remove much material if any required road or wood.
Based on the fact of the EMG-SPC can be added to many types of guitars, the diagram includes only a particular form for the wire. The real kit from a variety wiring different suggestions.
The configuration shown is how I setup a Stratocaster. The change in tone is subtle, but very attractive. Most of the time when the tone is noticed or mentioned, is a veteran guitarist who has an ear for the instrument is given, and this guitar.
