What is the best recording package at home?
I am a guitarist of 14 years and I really like recording my own music. Check out my site: http://www.blastmymusic.com/electrictone-je recording electric guitar, Acoustic Guitar, drums, bass and keyboard. I currently own FOSTEX MR-8 and Nero Soudtrax (software) to record with and it is very restrictive and not very high quality recording. Me and some friends are planning to form a group. 2 guitars, 1 bass, 1 drum kit, 1-2 singers. I am looking for a mixer that can work with that if someone knows a good combination of software and hardware for computer-based recording studio home, please share. Or if you had experience with some mixing software ... good and I'm sure I would prefer a firewire mixer. I did some research ... I just want hear people who have used some of the teams that I liked.
