It will be a guitar with active pickups sound good on a SS amp?
Or will it sound bad / weird.
It is difficult to make general statements like that. I heard some amplifiers to solid state as its big, and they sound like garbage. (The same thing with a Tube Amp too. Just because a tube does not automatically amp sounds beautiful). ... It is therefore possible. However, late the day you have to decide what sounds good to you.
